Episode Synopsis

Transitions in life can be difficult, especially staring into a big unknown. The question I've asked myself like many others when a door shuts, "What next?" I wrote this poem last week, my heart was pouring out as I saw what was happening to my friends. At this time, entertainers around the world are facing this question at the same time. The thoughts can be unsettling if you allow it, yet inspiring and adventurous if you're open to it. The possibilities are endless and the narrative that we can't find something else we love is a lie. The other lie is that to start something new means divorcing what you love. It's like we've been married to the stage for 20 years, and this is the divorce. In this case I don't believe that to be so. In order to discover new passions doesn't mean we have to divorce the current ones you love (as long as they aren't destructive of course.)
I hope this poem helps to give you hope no matter what transition you are in.

“First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.” Napoleon Hill
“When she transformed into a butterfly, the caterpillars spoke not of her beauty, but of her weirdness. They wanted her to change back into what she always had been. But she had wings.” Dean Jackson
