With the release of the new version of A Star Is Born with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, Matthew Sweet profiles music for films about stars in the making.The programme features music from 'Venus In Fur', 'The Red Shoes', 'Svengali', 'The Artist', 'Maps To The Stars', 'Hail Caesar', 'Film Stars Don't Die In Liverpool' and 'Ed Wood'; and he features music from the four different versions of 'A Star Is Born'. From 1937 with music by Max Steiner; the 1954 version with Judy Garland; the 1976 telling with Barbra Streisand; and this week's featured new release with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
