Two of Judah's sons, Er and Onan, die while married to Tamar. Judah doesn't give Tamar his youngest son, Shelah, to her as a husband, as required by law. Desperate to avoid the stigma of being a childless widow, she disguises herself as a harlot and is impregnated by Judah. When she is found to be with a child, she is condemned to be burned at the stake. Can she save herself?
