Listen "Ep. 3: Shana Hartman: Reacquainting mySelf with mySelf"
Episode Synopsis
Shana had it all. She did it all, was successful, fit, and fiercely independent. But she felt something was missing; she wasn't filling her own cup of self-care and this led to a dark place of depression.
Shana began her massage practice in December of 2017 but had been a reflective, body aware practitioner for over 20 years. Without reflection and a solid self-care practice, she struggled to be aware of what her body was telling her about the daily habits of her life. As a natural thinker, she spent years trying to "shove down" feelings and stress in her life only to have it manifest in her body. Through her own training as a massage therapist, self-care and body awareness practices, ongoing research in the ways our mind and body are connected, and investment and support from her own coaches and loved ones, she learned to stop, breathe, and listen to what her body might be telling her about how she was dealing with choices made on a daily basis.
"Come back to your body, fill your cup."
"You can do everything you want, but you can CHOOSE not to."
Shana brings a depth of life experience and knowledge from over 20 years of teaching as a college professor, a practicing massage therapist and a BodyMind Coach. For more information go visit her website or Facebook page:
