On Part 7 of the countdown, Scott, Scott, and Jay revisit David Fincher's team-up with acclaimed writer, Aaron Sorkin, in the 2010 biographical drama, THE SOCIAL NETWORK. Starring Jesse Eisenberg as real-life Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, THE SOCIAL NETWORK weaves the tale the social media platform's nascent days, recreating Zuckerberg's times at Harvard in the days leading to Facebook's conception, as well as its days as a developing exclusive platform for elite colleges, all interwoven with modern-day courtroom drama scenes in depositions and board rooms as both Zuckerberg's former best friend, Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield), and his fellow Harvard students, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss (Armie Hammer and Armie Hammer), sue him over various allegations of unfair stock dilution and IP theft respectively. THE SOCIAL NETWORK is not simply the tale of the founding of the empire that is now Facebook, it also doubles as an intimate examination of Zuckerberg, and the film does not always paint one of the now-wealthiest men in the world in the kindest of lights, a light that may have been justified after Zuckerberg's near-pariah status over the last few years. Regardless, the countdown trio give their thoughts on whether the sumptuous combo of Fincher and Sorkin plays out effectively on the big screen, which of the performances is their favorites, and what Sorkin and Fincher's portrayal of Zuckerberg is and whether it's fair.
