Involvement with charitable causes have been a way of life for David Medlock since childhood and continues in his position of Managing Trustee of the Medlock Charitable Trust.
He studied Environmental Health at Salford University, becoming an Environmental Health Officer before joining his family's engineering design company.
Deputy Lieutenant of Somerset since December 2008 and Vice Lord Lieutenant from 2012-18, David was also High Sheriff of Somerset from 2007-08.
After this long and illustrious career in business and philanthropy, we ask the Assistant Grand Master what new challenges he is most looking forward to in his recent appointment.
