As God continues to lay out His case against Israel, we discover how badly He wanted to heal them. We also see how dead set Israel was to continue in her sins. God loves to rescue sinners and draw them to Himself. So much so, that if we die in our sins, we cannot lay that at His feet. Through several different word pictures, Hosea reveals to Israel that their refusal to be healed caused them to be worthless, senseless, and useless. In Christ, we have freedom and victory in life.
