Note: During the recording of this commentary, both Annie and myself were fighting a record-setting heatwave, courtesy of the Texas weather. You may hear the intrusion of fans and central air. Directed by Alex Graves and written by J.J. Abrams & Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci, Annie and I explore the form and function of Fringe's pilot episode. We discuss the cast, the beginnings of a mythology and the engaging aspects of the dramatic narrative and the progression of the action. Remember to listen for the preemptive countdown before starting the episode on your DVD.
