Listen "It's Never Too Late"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to another episode of Social Workers Matter, I hope you're well and continuing to cope through this season of challenge during this pandemic. As we record today in the UK , our Prime Minister and his cabinet set about relaxing some of the COVID-19 safety measures. Some of us are not so confident about too much relaxation, particularly those of us from BAME communities who have been so badly affected by this pandemic. Take good care and remain alert! In today's episode we hear from social work lecturer, Sandra Wilkinson. Sandra is one of 6 sisters whose parents came here from the Caribbean. She grew up in East London and shares her career journey, from her mature entry to social work to her new path as an educator. She is an inspiring woman, a bright light of enthusiasm and grace.
