Listen "A Social Work Educator's Career - Clare Parkinson"
Episode Synopsis
Our guest this episode is my dear colleague Clare Parkinson - Clinical Lecturer & Senior Social Worker at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. Clare has led the MA in Social Work programme for the past 6 ½ years alongside her other activities in the trust. She shares some of her rich career in social work and social work education, where it started and how over the years she progressed and found her way to the Tavistock which was where she was meant to be. Clare cares deeply about the programme and as she makes her way toward stepping away from her leadership role, it is clear she has more to contribute and will continue to do so by her ongoing contact with Doctorate students, as an external examiner and of course she will make time to write and has some projects in mind. Working alongside Clare has been a real pleasure, she is motivating, encouraging and has certainly helped me at times of challenge, I wish her a long and rewarding retirement, she deserves it. Well done Clare, you made it!
