Listen "Pappco: Building a more sustainable India, one dish at a time with Co-Founder Abhishek Agarwal"
Episode Synopsis
I was joined by @Abhishek Agarwal, who is a Co-Founder at @Pappco Greenware. Pappco Greenware is a sustainable food packaging provider. So basically, packaging such as takeaway boxes, bowls, plates and more that are made from sustainable materials.
Pappco is a bootstrapped company that has grown very fast and is now serving some of the largest hotel chains in India and are now going global!
Single-use Plastic waste is one of the biggest problems that we face in India and I learned so much from Abhishek who is working to solve this problem! Some of the key takeaways from the podcast that I took were:
Just do it: If you have an idea that you feel has value, you have to just get started. You may not be an expert right away, but you will learn and become one through the journey
Get your hands dirty: The best way to learn is by getting your hands dirty and working on every aspect of the supply chain. Abhishek talks about how he has worked on everything from packaging their products to delivering them to the post office. This way, he learned every aspect of the business and this is helping him greatly as they continue to scale.
When being a leader, don’t ask your team to do anything that you wouldn’t do yourself. Abhishek talks about the importance that working on the ground floor with his teams made when growing Pappco.
If you’re looking to create an impact in India and want to know how to build a project from scratch, this podcast is definitely for you!
