In this episode we explore the concept of civic innovation. As part of our 'Collaboration' series of episodes, Amanda Newbery from the the consulting firm Articulous talks us through the Civic Innovation Guidance Note released by the Smart Cities Council in late 2018. She provides us with a precursor on the evolution of community engagement in a digital world, and what this means for active citizenship, innovation and democracy. Amanda then shares the five principles of civic innovation and how an organisation can take some tangible next steps to embrace the concept.
