Listen "40: Teaching Autism Virtual Edition"
Episode Synopsis
This year has been such a rollercoaster ride in the field of education and speech pathology. Many are still doing virtual sessions and haven’t gone back to in-office visits yet. One particular sub-set group that has been impacted by virtual learning is students on the autism spectrum. In today’s episode, I am chatting with my guest Nikki Robertson about how we can best support students with autism virtually. Nikki is the creator of Teaching Autism and has 10 years of experience working within the field of special education, specifically with students on the autism spectrum. She created Teaching Autism in order to spread awareness, helpful information, tips, and resources with other teachers. You are sure to take away so many concrete tips to incorporate into your sessions with students who have autism — both in-person and virtual. Be sure to tune in!
