Listen "Eclipse of the moon, Asteroids, and space shots along with ethereal thoughts on...."
Episode Synopsis
Skywatcher Leo T here.... look for the long, partial eclipse of the moon tonight around midnight. Should be at its fullest coverage by around 2 am, and take another hour or so to uncover. We also discuss DART which NASA is launching to try and nudge an asteroid a bit out of its orbit. They are hoping to use this as a possible deterrent to close call Earth Asteroids. We also talk about Gemini 12 mission in 1966, and a couple of short Many Cultures, One Sky segments, one by Susan Boulett and the other from Ann Limbergh. I'll post some groovy pictures when I get home. The program aired already on UPR this morning at 9:55 am with Tom Williams on Access Utah, and will repeat this evening at 7:55 pm. Thanks!
Also we will be on KRCL with Lara Jones and Al Dine on Friday evening in the first part of the 6 o'clock hour, and KZMU in Moab on Saturday night at 10 pm.
