Taylor K. Shaw, CEO and Founder of Black Women Animate, created the company in 2017 after noticing the lack of opportunities for Black women in animation. The company produces original content, offers production services, and trains and develops talent—all with the primary goal of lifting up women and nonbinary storytellers of color.
