1. “Isn’t God unfair to punish Jesus, as a substitute, in our place?” (Rom 6:23; Heb 4:15; John 3:16; John 10:18)
2. “Isn’t God’s reaction to sin disproportionate to the crime? Does sin really deserve eternal hell and punishment? (Rom 1:18ff)
3. “How can an eternal penalty be paid for by one act of suffering for a few hours by one man, Jesus?” (How does the fact that God is eternal and infinite play into this question?)
4. “If Jesus died for my sins, why do I still feel guilty?” (discuss objective guilt vs subjective guilt)
5. In light of all this glorious truth, how should we respond?
