I was very lucky to receive fiddler Marie Fielding's new tune book the other day full of fabulous new tunes in a traditional vein. This particular air jumped out at me and I decided to write a string quartet to accompany it. If anyone would like a copy of the arrangement to play please contact me.

ps my son wanted to call this piece 'slow down' after last weeks 'hurry up' but it was too predictable even though is definitely slower...
