Additionally, she is the author of Data Conscience: Algorithmic Siege on Our Humanity, which explores how to address discrimination in digital data spaces with several known algorithms, including social network analysis, linear regression, and sentiment analysis. Brandeis has advised and educated thousands in the public and corporate sectors, teaching, speaking, and writing about the impact of data practices on technology and society. She is also a Professor of computer science at Spelman College.
