Rich Reed is in his 17th Season as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at his alma mater, the University of La Verne in Southern California. He has been coaching for 22 years including 5 years at the NCAA D1 level with stops Sacramento State, Northern Colorado, Loyola Marymount and Cal Poly Pomona. He is currently the Co-Chair of the National Association of Basketball Coaches Committee on Academics and one of the truly bright stars in the world of NCAA D3 basketball. Rich and I spent 3 years together coaching the men and women's basketball teams, respectively, at the University of La Verne where we developed a lifelong bond and brotherhood. He also graced me by writing the College Coach Perspective in Chapter 6 of my book on how to create the right Attack List for college recruits looking to be recruited by the right coaches at the right schools.
