Today I am going to be taking you through a guided creative self talk script that will focus on the art of solving problems when they show up

When you think of yourself as a problem-solver, so when that’s part of your identity, everything around you becomes easier, because you become good at bending the world to your will.

It’s a superpower you can possess just by deciding to.

The first rule is to see problems as opportunities.

Be ok with problems, and approach them with intrigue.

And finally confidence. Yes confidence?

That one doesn’t get a tick so fast.

How can you approach problems with confidence? Easy.

You become a Problem-Solving Ninja.

How do you become a Problem-Solving Ninja?

Improve your problem-solving skills.

How do we do that?

Turning into a Problem-Solving Ninja is one of the best benefits of living a creative life, but problems aren’t usually what you think of when you think of creativity, right?

The best way to understand this is simply to grasp that, when you are in a creative mindset, you make all kinds of wacky-awesome connections that you wouldn’t normally do under a state of stress.

Which means that people who get stressed out by problems actually shut down the part of the brain that’s best equipped to deal with the situation.

Whereas you, the Problem-Solving Ninja, not only don’t get stressed, but you actually enjoy these kind of scenarios, because it lights up your creative genius, and gives you tons of satisfaction when you fix whatever needed to be fixed.

Alternative approaches could be to:

Relax & Let Go
Having a relaxed mindset allows your brain to make unique and clever connections, and it helps you get creative in the problem-solving process.

If you find yourself stuck when looking for the solution to a problem, sometimes the best approach is to step away from it for a while.

Take a break.

Or work on something else.

This is also known as task switching, and it helps shake up your thought processes before you crash into a wall with exhaustion.

When you go back-and-forth between tasks or projects, it allows you to reset your thinking. It helps your brain get out of ruts, and look in different directions for potential solutions.

This often leads to seeing the situation from fresh, and sometimes, unusual angles.

Task switching also helps to relax you. You can pause to take a breath, knowing you’ll come back to the issue later.

And if you still can’t figure it out on the second or third go, no problem. Put it to rest again.
