Listen "2. Why the 5-Year plan not sat right with me"
Episode Synopsis
What happens when you’ve done everything “right” — chased the title, earned the degree, landed the job, but something still doesn’t feel quite right? In this episode, I share my journey of redefining ambition beyond the traditional 5-year career plan. As an immigrant, woman of color, scientist, and mom, I’ve navigated a lot, changing industries, becoming a U.S. citizen, earning a PhD (while raising kids), and working hard for that senior title and other changes. And still, something felt… misaligned. To be honest, I've accepted that we all will feel misaligned at some (multiple) points. This isn’t a story about giving up on growth. It’s about choosing a different way to grow.I reflect on what it means to tune into your own voice, embrace nonlinear progress, and move toward a version of success that feels better and not performative. I also introduce Project You, a new workbook I’m building for quietly ambitious people like me. No hype, no grind, no 5-year plan—just clarity, intention, and work that fits you.💡 Plus, I’m sharing a free tool to help you start today: A Good Workday — a simple reflection to help you reconnect with what makes you shine.https://forms.gle/nG57N2kcjuVFGRqQ9Resource:Bossed Up, Directional Living for Aligned Fulfillment https://www.bossedup.org/podcast/episode510Links you might enjoy:Follow me on InstagramSubstackLinkedIn Newsletter
