Beth and Kate interview the mother of the Upper Room Fellowship, Shirley Stryffeler. Shirley and her late husband. Russ, let their young sons use the 'upper room' of their veterinarian's office almost 50 years ago. Although it's initial intention was to share the gospel and have coffee, it soon became a worship time and bible study, which then eventually became a beautiful church! Shirley not only gave some of their work space to be used for the cause of Jesus. Shirley has faithfully given her life in many different areas of love, prayer and sacrifice to see Jesus work in her family, church family, and the community in Columbiana. We honor Shirley for the impact she has had in all of our lives. Whether we are aware of it or not, her 'yes' to Jesus has changed the history of so many lives and the city of Columbiana as a whole. Listen and hear from Shirley how God saved her from religion and uses our small beginnings to do great things.
