Who Told You That?    Part 2                Pastor David King(1 Timothy 2:12) I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authorityover a man; she must be quiet. (1 Corinthians 14: 34-35) Women should remain silent in the churches.They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as thelaw says.  35  If they want to inquire about something, they should ask theirown husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in thechurch.(1 Corinthians 14:26) What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? Whenyou come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, arevelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Everything must be done so thatthe church may be built up. (1 Corinthians 14:3 CEB) Those who prophesy speak to people, buildingthem up, and giving them encouragement and comfort. (2 Timothy 4:2 NIV) Preach the word; be prepared in season and out ofseason; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and carefulinstruction.(1 Corinthians 14:3 AMP) But [on the other hand] the one who prophesiesspeaks to people for edification [to promote their spiritual growth] and[speaks words of] encouragement [to uphold and advise them concerningthe matters of God] and [speaks words of] consolation [to compassionatelycomfort them]._________________________(Proverbs 18:21 NIV) The tongue has the power of life and death, and thosewho love it will eat its fruit.(Ephesians 4:29) Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of yourmouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to theirneeds, that it may benefit those who listen. _________________________ (Hebrews 10:24-25) And let us consider how we may spur one another ontoward love and good deeds,  25  not giving up meeting together, as some arein the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as yousee the Day approaching.(1 Thessalonians 5:14) And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn thosewho are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, bepatient with everyone. ______________________________ (Galatians 6:2) Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfillthe law of Christ.(Philippians 1:6) being confident of this, that he who began a good work inyou will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.(1 Corinthians 10:13) No temptation has overtaken you except what iscommon to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you betempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will alsoprovide a way out so that you can endure it.Support the show
