Listen "Episode 13 - Shannon Tymosko"
Episode Synopsis
Shannon Tymosko started her electrical apprenticeship at the age of 31 after her first career as a Child and Youth Worker just couldn't pay the bills. Her journey to the trades was supported by the YWCA Hamilton's pre-apprenticeship programs. Today, she is a third year apprentice with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 105, in Hamilton Ontario. Shannon is passionate about people, growth, and change and advocates for the skilled trades at every opportunity. She is a tireless ambassador of this message, working with OYAP and Tools in the Trades, to name a few, and on LinkedIn and other social media as Lady.Voltz. In this episode, we talk about the difference between finding a job and finding your passion, the confidence that comes from competence, and how work in the trades allows one to thrive and not just survive.
