Throughout the course of human history, there have been many corrupt kings. But humanity has continually sought a perfect ruler who will bring peace to our lives and communities. However, a fallen people enslaved to sin are unable to produce anyone who can do this. And more than ever, we are constantly dealing with anxiety, depression, and great fear about the future. But did you know that once we put our trust in Jesus, we get to know the King of Kings personally? Ephesians one tells us that after His resurrection and ascension to heaven, Jesus is seated at the "right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule, authority, power and dominion..." (Ephesians 1:20–21) Our everlasting King is powerful! He conquered sin and death, and all who put their trust in Him alone receive the gift of eternal life as well as peace and joy found only in Him.
