In this episode Wes discusses two.The first law is the law of value. When most people think of value, they think of what it costs and what value does it give you for what it costs. The law of value is what you give versus what you take.  The book says that the secret to success is to focus on giving, and the money will come to you. Don’t keep score on what is given and taken. Wes says his podcast Shaping Success is about teaching people that they can do more than they think they can.  As a salesman, Wes gets to educate people on his products, so he can sell the clients what they need and explain why the product they want may not suit their needs.  The Go Giver talks about sharing the knowledge you have with people, so they succeed. Don’t hold back because of fear that the person will overshadow the teacher.Wes talks about having a positive headspace. For example, most people have bills such as mortgage or rent, car payment, and phone bills. Being negative can feel like, man, I have all these bills. The mindset for achievement says look what I get from these bills.  I get shelter from the rain, heat, a car to get me from place to place.  Isn’t it worth the cost?  Having this positive mindset will get people on the road to success.The second law is the law of compensation. Be valuable to your people. The bigger the impact you have, the more money will come your way. Integrity. Wes talks about selling a blind to someone that doesn't have the money to buy new blinds. The person may not necessarily need new blinds but just may need a repair. He will give them a name of someone who can help them and save a lot of money. Down the road when new blinds are needed, they will remember Wes and buy from him because he took care of them. Doing the right thing will reap big rewards. Having confidence is also a key to success.
