Practical Tips for Praying for your Kids
Ages 0-2:

Pray that God would save him or her at a young age
Pray that God would keep him or her pure in heart
Pray that your relationship (parent + child) would remain strong and faithful



Age 3-4:

Pray that he or she would learn to take responsibility
Pray that he or she would learn how to be confident and honest
Pray that God would mold his or her heart toward godliness



Ages 5-6:

Pray for his or her teachers
Pray that he or she would respect authority
Pray that he or she would come to love and grow in Jesus



Ages 7-8:

Pray that he or she would grow in integrity
Pray that he or she would be receptive to THE BOOK (the Bible) and good books as we read together
Pray that he or she would find special friends



Ages 9-10:

Pray for books that help them grow spiritually
Pray for his or her growing friendships
Pray that he or she would be able to discern truth and righteousness



Ages 11-14:

Pray for the ability to defend the faith
Pray that he or she would gain a love for the lost



Ages 15-18:

Pray for wisdom on next steps in life’s journey
Pray that God would grant him or her protection over sin
Pray for the development of his or her mind, heart, and will



Ages 19+ 
Pray that he or she would discover and walk in God’s perfect will
Pray that he or she would live for the mission of God
Pray for his or her spouse or future spouse
Pray for his or her [future] kids (your grandchildren)
