Shameless Shawny had the opportunity to interview  special guest Desiree Barron. Desiree invites shameless listeners into her world and relives the adversities she faced as a diabetic at the age of 27. Throughout this episode Desiree Barron, such a strong, courageous woman shares her experiences for the first time. She express the need for systematic change, and what led her passion to begin a business called The Rochester Giveback that allows individuals, including diabetics  to connect, support, and empower one another by sharing their story and becoming informed.  Desiree provides some helpful information that can be relevant for ourselves or someone we care about. "Type A diabetes is genetic. It doesn't matter your age, size or eating habits. You are at risk if someone in your family has diabetes," said Desiree Barron.
