How important it is for any group, country or organization to stay true to the purposes for which it was brought into existence and the beliefs upon which it was founded. The early church remained focused upon their Master Jesus and began immediately to live according to His words. In keeping with Jesus' command they begin at once to fulfill their purpose as "light of the world" and "salt of the earth" by taking the message of the resurrected Christ out into their local community. The immediate effects were good, but not everyone was pleased.
