We step into the first part of 1 Corinthian 9 as Katie Twitchett speaks from there on freedom and rights, including the challenging us with the freedom we find when we follow the example of Chist and of Paul in laying down our rights for the good of others, and the blessing we receive when we bless in this way.

Read John 10:14-18 at your table again. What does Jesus say makes him trustworthy as the Good Shepherd? What do you think about his claim- is Jesus trustworthy? Why or why not?
Where in your life might you be called to defend and uplift the rights of others? Where might you be called to lay down your own rights for the sake of others?
