In our sixth episode we sit down with Public Works Director, Dale McDowell. Seaside, Oregon, built largely on tourism in the late 1800s and its close proximity to an abundance of outdoor recreation, is situated in the Pacific Northwest and along the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Seaside has a year round population of approximately 7,000 that can swell to as much as 40-50,000 during busy summer weekends and events.
