Rico was born and raised in a small Western Pennsylvania coal mining and steel town. Although his family worked in the coal mines, growing up he dreamed of staying “way above the ground”—of being a pilot. In spite of crushing feelings of self-doubt and lacking a clear direction, by going all out to achieve his childhood dream of flying, he uncovered the simple process for crystal clear thinking using Just 2 Choices through his exciting experiences of flying many different kinds of airplanes—including being a supersonic F16 fighter-jet pilot and an airline pilot for the world’s most fun and successful airline ever (Southwest Airlines). Also has
authored positive choice books for kids: “dreams + action = Reality®” &
“Go Vertical: Life Has No Ceiling” …as well as created STEM (Science
Technology Engineering & Math) education programs in the US Military and in the auto industry
