During today's conversation on Scripture & Story, we are kicking off a four-part series on surrender, an essential, yet not always easy, part of the Christian life.   Surrender is a battle term. It implies giving up all rights to the conqueror. When an army surrenders, they lay down their weapons, and the winning army takes control. Surrendering to God works the same way. God has a plan for our lives, and surrendering to Him means we set aside our own plans and fully seek His. The good news is that God’s plan for us is always for our good and His glory, unlike our own plans that often lead to destruction. We surrender to a God who delights in blessing us.   In this episode I will share a story of a missionary who literally surrendered her whole life to the call of Jesus.
