Culture, especially in many African, Middle Eastern, and Asian countries, allows for polygamy. This can seem appealing, particularly when a family is faced with the lack of childbearing.
The option to choose culture over tradition at times like these can be overwhelming for Christians. Even if the man may not want to add another wife, family and societal pressure may try to push him to do so.
God’s will for Christians is that we do not allow our culture to be the manual for our life, especially when such culture is against His word.
