In this episode, I talk with Nici Vance, State Forensic Anthropologist for the Human Identification Program at the Oregon State Police Medical Examiner’s Office. After graduating college with a degree in Anthropology, Nici worked as an Eyebank Technician and later as a Forensic Scientist and Crime Scene Analyst. Still working full time, she went to night school to earn a Master’s in Anthropology and mentored with Oregon State's head Forensic Anthropologist. She later earned a PhD in Anatomy and then transitioned into her current role.
