Listen "Shane Rose Olympic Three day Eventer in the ICU!"

Episode Synopsis

A few days ago Olympic Level three day had a bad accident while he was schooling cross country. This comes just a few days after he won the Land Rover Horse of the Year CCI4* with 19 year old Virgil in New Zealand. Fortunately, there should be time for him to recover before the Olympics in Paris. Let's all rally behind him and hope that he has the best recovery possible. Horseback riding is dangerous unfortunately and we all know the risks, but we never want it to happen!

"Sending Support to Shane Rose After His Accident | Prayers for Recovery 🙏"

Hello, Scholarly Equestrians! 🐴 Today, I want to take a moment to send some positive thoughts and prayers to Australian Olympic-level 3-day eventer Shane Rose. Last weekend, Shane had an incredible win at the Land Rover Show of the Year, but just days later, he suffered a severe fall while schooling cross-country.

Shane broke both his pelvis and femur and is currently recovering after surgery in the ICU. Thankfully, his horse is unharmed, but this incident serves as a powerful reminder of just how dangerous the sport of eventing can be, and how vulnerable we are every time we ride. 🏇💔

Why We Need to Stand Together

This is a tough moment for Shane, and it’s important to support one another in the equestrian community. Each ride, whether in competition or training, carries risks, and we must always be grateful when we dismount safely. Shane’s accident is a reminder to appreciate our safety, our horses, and our friends in the sport.

Let’s all send our thoughts and prayers to Shane for a full recovery and hope that he can return to the sport he loves. 🙌🕊

The Risks We Face as Equestrians

Riding and training are incredibly rewarding, but it’s important to recognize the risks involved—whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider. Every time we get on a horse, we face potential danger, and Shane’s accident is a tragic example of this. But it’s also a reminder of the importance of safety gear, preparation, and riding within our limits.
