Prof. Robert Thompson of Syracuse University is a media scholar and professor of television and popular culture at the highly acclaimed Newhouse School of Public Communications.
He has been referred to as the "pop culture ambassador" by the Associated Press. He has contributed to hundreds of radio and TV programs and publications worldwide. He has been interviewed by a wide range of media outlets and his areas of research include television history and pop culture, media criticism, and TV programming.
Professor Thompson is the author of several books and is the host of the podcast Critical and Curious.
