As we dive into 2020, we thought it was important to review the basics in the electricity industry such as deregulation in the state of Texas. In 2002, deregulation gave millions the option to choose their electricity provider...something unheard of in Texas since the late 1880s when the first power plant was built in Galveston. But we still find a large majority of Texans just don’t take advantage.
