Listen "Just Pray About It"
Episode Synopsis
You've got issues. Real issues. Yet, everyone says "just pray about it". While prayer is important and it does work, there are experiences that could use some additional tools such as therapy. How can we as Christians get more comfortable with getting help outside of the Church? Keith speaks with licensed marriage and family therapist, April Preston of Kovu Healing and Faith Harrison, a DC resident with a powerful testimony, about the tensions between faith and science as it pertains to addressing our issues. They also unpack the stigma of therapy in the Black community and why today, more than ever, it's important for Christians to equip themselves with healthy tools for making life a little easier to live.
