Episode Synopsis "Herb Kent (Kool Gent Edit)"
I’ve been sitting on this edit for quite a while. Occasionally I made adjustments in the arrangement, but never felt like it was finished until recently. This was a challenging one to say the least, and I finally wrapped it up a couple of weeks ago. This was possibly serendipitous, but the intention was to be a tribute to Herb Kent, a living legend, who gave us so many great Sunday mornings in Chicago. This edit is of "The Kool Gent" by The Olympic Runners, which was inspired by Herb’s famous moniker. My goal was to keep the groove and emotion, while making the arrangement a bit more DJ and dance floor friendly. I hope you enjoy playing and listening. Respectfully, Samone. 320 mp3 download.
