https://3speak.tv/watch?v=sammmi/nspytodm "Hello Vibes community! I'm thrilled to join this innovative space where music converges with Web3. As a multifaceted musician - composer, singer, and music enthusiast - I'm eager to share my creative content with you all. I hope you'll enjoy the melodies, harmonies, and rhythms I'll be sharing here!"
For my first post on this community, I'd like to share my cover of "Amazing Grace" this wonderful song was written by John Newton (1725-1807), an English Anglican clergyman and former slave ship captain.
The melody, however, is believed to have been composed by William Walker, an American musician and hymnologist, who paired Newton's lyrics with the tune "New Britain" in his 1835 hymnal "The Southern Harmony".
"This song invites us to reflect on the transformative power of forgiveness and redemption. Relentless in its message of hope, 'Amazing Grace' reminds us that we are all imperfect beings, deserving of second chances.
The lyrics of this iconic hymn offer a poignant reminder of God's unwavering love and mercy, reassuring us that we are never too far gone to receive forgiveness and start anew.
Lyrics of "Amazing Grace":
Verse 1
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now I see
Verse 2
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
Verse 3
Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home
Verse 4
Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail
And mortal life shall cease
I shall possess within the veil
A life of joy and peace
