Listen "Different Rhythm: Introduction"
Episode Synopsis
For centuries the Christian church has organized the year into liturgical seasons. In so doing, it makes sacred the ordinary time of a twelve-month calendar. By sanctifying our hours and days this way the church traces the mystery of salvation and the course of salvation history. Not every denomination observes the church calendar. Even within the Anglican communion there is some confusion about what these seasons and feast days are all about. In this episode Jamie Howison introduces the idea of living our lives according to a different concept of time and in short episodes to follow throughout the year ahead he’ll be back again to explain each season as the months unfold.Comment on this episode on our website.
