Episode Synopsis "Tales of a Home Birth with Sheila Toon, CNM"

Delivering our babies at home is not a very common choice anymore. Many women don't even count it as an option -- why not? To celebrate Baby G's first birthday (!!), I recount his birth story with our midwife! It was a long day and not what any of us expected, but we got our sweet baby boy out of the deal, so it was alllll worth it. Sheila and I talk some real talk about what actually happens in home births...the good and the not as great. (I also got some opinions from my husband, sister, and mom who were there.) It's my goal for this episode to normalize home deliveries, to let all women know that it is at least an option if it is something they would like to explore.
