Listen "Ep23 Dispelling Bipolar Disorder with Dani de Castro"
Episode Synopsis
Dani de Castro was 27 years old when she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and felt how being put in a psych ward for some days was a humbling experience for her. Today, six years later, she shares with us her experience from finally naming what “it” was that was “wrong” with her to being able to live a more balanced life now, and even finding love during the pandemic and with a partner who understands and supports her. It is admirable how she approached this time in her life with so much love and courage, also seeing it as a curious challenge rather than a pure setback. She has been very open about her disorder and she finds that this is her way of helping others to seek out for help, too. In this episode, we also hear about how it is best to deal with it as someone who may be going through mental illness, or as a loved one or close circle who may know someone who is: They just need to feel supported, understood, seen, and heard.
