💁🏻 Concept: Textual Variants
Textual variants refer to the small differences that appear among the thousands of ancient copies of Scripture. These can involve spelling, word order, or even the inclusion or omission of a phrase. While some may seem concerning at first glance, none of them change the central doctrines of the Christian faith. Instead, they show God’s providence in preserving His Word through history. The Scriptures are infallible in their original manuscripts, and that God has faithfully preserved His truth so that His people can trust the Bible as fully reliable for faith and life.
Examples of textual variants:
1. Story: Mark 16:9-20 
2. Spelling: Ἰωάννης / Ἰωάνης - Johnn / John 
3. Order: Jesus Christ / Christ Jesus
4. Synonyms: Jesus said / He answered

Please, continue to teach me Your wisdom and give me power to apply Your Word in my daily life. Strengthen my faith. Let me live according to Your promises. May I become strong in the faith by Your grace. Protect my family and guide them to Your truth. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen.
