💁🏻 Concept: Textual Variants
Textual variants refer to the small differences that appear among the thousands of ancient copies of Scripture. These can involve spelling, word order, or even the inclusion or omission of a phrase. While some may seem concerning at first glance, none of them change the central doctrines of the Christian faith. Instead, they show God’s providence in preserving His Word through history. The Scriptures are infallible in their original manuscripts, and that God has faithfully preserved His truth so that His people can trust the Bible as fully reliable for faith and life.
Examples of textual variants:
1. Story: Mark 16:9-20
2. Spelling: Ἰωάννης / Ἰωάνης - Johnn / John
3. Order: Jesus Christ / Christ Jesus
4. Synonyms: Jesus said / He answered

📖 Bible Readings: Psalm 119:89
(Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 12:6–7; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 24:35; 1 Peter 1:24–25; Psalm 119:89, 152; Matthew 5:18; John 10:35; Proverbs 30:5; Luke 21:33)
