During the Covid-19 pandemic, Americans across the country saw firsthand the major disruptions to the food supply chain, and finding certain staples became a challenge. At the same time, farmers struggled to find markets for their commodities. A new program from the USDA will establish 12 Regional Food Business Centers to help strengthen local food supply chains. Mary Emery, director of Rural Prosperity Nebraska at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, joins us. Mary, tell us about this program and this issues it seeks to address.
