Episode Synopsis
Grief and pain know no language, race, or gender. It affects all of us, and we all experience it differently through the stages of grief. From denial to acceptance, the story is never exactly the same. Sometimes we take one step forward, but then two steps back. And that's okay. In this episode, I walk you through my story of overcoming depression after the death of my mother. Despite all the pitfalls, I chose to get help thanks to a good friend who encouraged me to seek counseling. I am here now and much stronger with the memories of my mother still close to me.
