In this episode, Mimi and Brigitte talk to Jeannette Mathieu. Jeannette is a Radiology Resident at UCSF by way of Vanderbilt and grew . She runs for the Peninsula Distance Club (PDC) and recently ran the US Olympic Marathon Trials this past February. Jeannette qualified for the trials in her 2nd marathon at California International Marathon (CIM) in 2019.
Jeannette shares:
Her journey to qualifying for the trials and her experience as one of the women who qualified during that magical last minute at CIM in 2019.
How she started running in high school but how she got serious about cultivating her talent during Medical School and into Residency.
Training for the trials while on night-float.
Why she chose Radiology and how it's benefited her own running.
