Episode Synopsis

"I don't think a physician ever stops being a physician."
- Dr. Kent Brantly

In the first episode of this intense three-part series, Dr. Kent Brantly talks about his experience as a medical missionary in Liberia where he treated Ebola patients. Brantly contracted Ebola while in Liberia and was the first American to be medically evacuated to the United States. He received treatment at Emory University in Atlanta where he recovered from the illness. This series of episodes is a fascinating first-hand account of what it is like to treat, contract, and recover from the Ebola virus.
