Episode Synopsis

What is truth in a world of information overload? With our social media feeds and recommendation algorithms constantly showing us more of what we already like and agree with, it can feel harder than ever to get a full picture of what's really going on in the world.

In this episode, I want to explore the challenge of breaking out of our filter bubbles and seeking truth when we don't even know what we don't know. How do we expose ourselves to new ideas and perspectives instead of just having our existing views reinforced all the time? It takes intention, effort and even some discomfort - we have to proactively look for information that contradicts our assumptions or comes from places we wouldn't normally look.

But it's so important if we want to grow and see the world more clearly. Our understanding of reality is shaped by the information we consume - if all we see is the same slanted slice of that information, our worldview gets more and more distorted. I'll talk about ways we can push past the algorithms and get out of our bubbles, like following a wider range of people on social platforms, reading viewpoints we disagree with, and having conversations that challenge what we think we know. It's not easy, but the reward is a clearer perspective and more informed opinions.

I'm looking forward to digging into this topic that's so critical for finding truth and understanding in such an information-packed time. How do we pop the filter bubbles we all live in and let more of the world in? Please join me as we explore.
